November 2, 2017: Gratitude Challenge

PastorPastor's Blog

For the month of November, I challenge you to create a daily gratitude journal. Every day, take a few minutes to reflect on your blessings, focus on the positives in your life, and remind yourself of all the things you are thankful for. I think this is really important with so many disheartening and devastating events going on lately in the world. This gratitude challenge could be a way to lift our spirits and find encouragement, as well as uplift others around us.

The task is simple. Each day in November, ask yourself, “What am I grateful for?” and record your response either in a personal journal or on your preferred social media platform.

For example on Sunday, November 5, 2017, you might be grateful for an extra hour of sleep. Get that extra hour of sleep and then plan to be with us in worship as we celebrate:

Fall Back

Or maybe on November 7, 2017, you’ll want to write that you are grateful for the Dave Ramsey Smart Money Seminar. Check out this promo video and invite your friends and family to come with you to learn from the best. It is free! Just be here at Faith at 7 p.m. Tuesday night for this very special event.

We have so much to be thankful for, but sometimes I know that I forget to stop and truly appreciate the blessings in my life. I hope you will take up the gratitude journal challenge and take advantage of some of the ministry opportunities currently available, so that you can see how blessed you are.

I look forward to seeing you in worship as we continue our Extravagant Generosity series and celebrate the saints who have had the greatest impact on our lives.
