WOMEN OF THE WORD
Wednesdays // 9:30-11:00am
The Women of the Word begin a new study on March 4 with the book "The Epic of Eden: Deborah – Unlikely Heroes and the Book of Judges" by Dr. Sandra L Richter. We are using the study guide with streaming video.

The Book of Judges narrates one of the most chaotic and morally dark eras of Israel's story, and out of it emerges one of the most unlikely leaders of the biblical text—the prophet Deborah. She is a wife and mother in an entirely patriarchal world, yet due to her integrity and courage, she transforms chaos into order and leads Israel in one of the most pivotal victories of the settlement period.

Beloved scholar and professor Dr. Sandra L. Richter illustrates the era of the Judges by means of the archaeological record, historical geography, cultural context, and the hard facts of warfare in the ancient world. This eight-session Bible study draws you immediately into the grand tale of Deborah and challenges you, as a Christ-follower, to ask yourself where God wants to expand his kingdom in your realm of influence today.
All ladies of the church are invited; come and experience the love of Christ through study and the fellowship of other women seeking to know God better. For more information, contact Sandy Farrington at sandyf3dachmom@gmail.com.

PASTOR'S BIBLE STUDY
Wednesdays // 6:30-7:30pm // February 25 - April 1
Pastor Stefani will lead a bible study on the book "An Unlikely Lent" by Rachel Billups. The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus are at the heart of the story of Easter. But the resurrection was not witnessed in isolation; it unfolded before a crowd. What might the stories of those women and men teach us today? How will they help us step into the story of Easter? Here, we can see what has been overlooked, not just in the grand moments but in the in-between: the silence, the side characters, and the questions. By seeing the Easter story through their eyes, we may discover that the resurrection is not just a past event, but an invitation into something new, unexpected, and unlikely. Walk through this season with eyes wide open, ready to see where God is moving, even in the margins. Since the cross is not the end of the story, embrace every unlikely moment along the way.
