The Women of the Word begin a new study on September 9 with the book "Perfectly Flawed: God Transforms Our Weaknesses into Strengths" by Lisa Toney.

In the six-week Bible study Perfectly Flawed, we see that there is an unparalleled power Jesus gives that can only be found in our weakness. We discover the strength of Jesus that is available to each of us. Learn to persevere in your faith, live confidently, and boldly step into God’s purpose for you. 

​

The apostle Peter’s passion and imperfections make him one of the Bible’s most loved and relatable people. Even when Peter gave up, gave in, and gave out, Jesus was there for him. Join us as Lisa Toney follows Peter through his time with Jesus, from the beginning of Jesus’s ministry to the Resurrection and through Pentecost, when Peter begins to live into his call. Along the way, discover the raw honesty of a man who veered from staunch devotion to moments of doubt, mirroring our own human struggles.

This particular study asks participants to do the homework for session one before we meet. The participant workbook includes five daily readings for each week, combining the study of Scripture with personal reflection, application, and prayer.

Pastor Stefani will lead a bible study on the book "Genesis: A Beginner's Guide to the Beginning" by Amy-Jill Levine. Genesis invites readers into the foundational stories of the Old Testament with clarity, depth, and imagination. Amy-Jill Levine presents Genesis as a living text, one that continues to shape faith, identity, and our understanding of what it means to be human. These familiar stories are often heard in fragments; here, they are explored with care, curiosity, and theological insight.

Join our men's ministry, Men of Faith, for fellowship and bible study! On the third Saturday of the month, they meet at 8:30am at Sidewalk Cafe in Denton. All other Saturdays are at 9:00am on Zoom.

Coffee with the Pastor is an informal time for Pastor Stefani to get to know you in a small group setting. She will share a little bit about herself and this congregation, but she mainly wants to get to know you and your family.
