Sunday, November 30 is the first Sunday of Advent at Faith UMC. Advent is an invitation to get into the Christmas spirit, to let our lives be transformed, and to celebrate the Christ Child who comes to remind us that we are not alone; God is with us!

This Advent, our series "What do you fear?" is about insisting on hope in a frightening world. Every Advent, we light candles, sing carols, and pray for Christ’s coming because we believe God entered a frightened world to
bring good news. We hold onto hope because we believe that Christ did come—that’s the promise of the season. Our hope is not flimsy or fleeting. It’s gritty, resilient, and can endure—no matter what we fear or face. This season, let us insist on hope and trust that good news is greater than fear.​

It's time to prepare for the holiday season! Join us after worship on Sunday, November 23 to help decorate the church before Advent begins!
Let's kick off Advent with a Tree Lighting Celebration! Join us at 6pm on Sunday, November 30 for holiday fun for the whole family. We'll start the night with crafts, cookies, cocoa, and a short outdoor movie. Bring your favorite lawn chair and some blankets! When it's over, we'll enjoy holiday music before we end the night with the Tree Lighting.
Pastor Stefani is leading an Advent Bible Study that follows along with our Advent series, "What do you fear?" This study will run on Wednesday nights at 7pm from December 3-17. No registration necessary. Contact Pastor Stefani at stefani@tryfaith.org for more details.
Holidays can be hard, and we're often carrying grief along with the joy. There's space for you to hold both at our Christmas Hope service on Wednesday, December 17 at 6:30pm.

The church will be closed for the holidays on Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26. We will be open for worship on Sunday, December 28. The following week, we will be closed Monday, December 29 through Friday, January 2.
Roll out of bed on Sunday, December 28 & join us for worship at our normal time of 10:30am! Let's continue the festivities of Christmas and welcome in the new year together. Worship will be casual with cozy pj vibes, a Christmas singalong, and a blessing for all the new toys. You don't even have to change out of your PJs (but maybe brush your teeth!)
