The birth of Christ always inspires me to be more grateful!

These days if you catch me at almost any time of day, I’ve been told I might remind you of Buddy the Elf, Pastor Edition. I am SO excited for Christmas Eve! The candles are counted, prepped, and ready. The greenery has been fluffed. Bulletins have been printed, and we are ready! Our services at 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. are sure to be spirit- and celebration-filled. I hope you and your family will take time to be with us!

I am always reminded during this time of year that the birth of Jesus is something that should cause change in us. It’s not just a one-day thing, but an event that should cause us to make resolutions more readily than the new year! For me, the birth of Christ always inspires me to be more grateful. There is something about the birth of God into the world that fills me with wonder and joy; the recognition that this birth is for me causes awe and gratitude.

That’s why I love worship on Christmas Eve. It’s like a new spiritual birth every year; a chance for us to take stock of our priorities, our loves, and to pause for gratefulness.

This Christmas, I’m grateful for the faithfulness of this church, the generosity of everyone here, and the ways that I can tell that the Holy Spirit is working among us. What a gift!!

Merry Christmas everyone! I am so grateful to be your pastor as we walk through life together.

Your Pastor and Friend in Christ,

Jenna
